What are you afraid of?

Lots of people have things they're afraid of.  A lot of people suffer from Coulrophobia, the fear of clowns.  For me, there's a pretty long list and I'm not sure I should share them with you!  I don't want this extra credit opportunity to backfire.

Election Day

Tuesday is election day for America.  If you're a registered voter, please exercise this right!  We are very lucky to have the chance to influence how our towns, states, and country are run.

If you're not a registered voter, sign up as soon as you're able.  This is a right that we shouldn't ignore.

Second Quarter Begins

The best part of a new quarter is that every has a fresh start.  If you weren't thrilled with your grades for the first quarter, you have the chance to improve this time. 
We have a change in grading this year at JVS.  Each semester, students have the chance to earn a half credit towards their Social Studies requirements for graduation.  In order to do so, students must have two passing grades.  If you passed the first quarter, you're off to a great start.  If not, you still have a chance.
