The greenhouse operated by our Landscaping and Greenhouse Management program opens Monday.  Students are in charge of growing and selling various plants and flowers.  It's a wonderful service available.  Please visit the JVS Website for more information.

Federal Income Taxes

Each year, Americans are required to file their federal income taxes.  For some, this is a stressful experience.

Fortunately, this year people have two additional days.  Since April 15th falls on a Sunday, the deadline was pushed to April 17th.  Make sure you've filed by then!

Finally!  Spring Break begins after school on Thursday.

April Fools?

Today is April 1, also known as April Fools' Day.  It's a tradition to play tricks on people and then annoyingly laugh, "April Fools!"  I have heard this a few times from my kids and I have to say I'm not a fan.

So, why am I put through this torture every year?  The short answer is we don't know!  The idea of an April fool has been around for over 400 years, and there's no definite explanation.
