I cannot believe that our school year is already half over! I am only going to assume that you're all alright with it--you're probably ready for summer.
This week is a special one at JVS. First, no school Monday for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Wednesday and Thursday are Sophomore Career Days. 10th graders from around the county will have the chance to come out and visit different programs. Students will not have academic classes either day.
Since it's the beginning of the second semester, students may have new classes. If schedules need to be changed, students will have the chance to meet with guidance counselors this week.
This blog contains information for Mrs. Pluta's classes at the Lorain County JVS. It is hoped that Our Classroom Connection will keep students engaged in class discussion outside the school day.

Final Exam Time!
Students will be taking their semester exams on Wednesday, January 16th and Thursday, January 17th. For all students, this test will count as one-fifth of your grade. Civics students have the chance to earn half of their credit now; psychology students will earn their course credit and move on to bigger and better things next semester!

Happy New Year!
I hope everyone has has a wonderful break. It's time to get back to school though and finish up the first semester of our school year.
**For Civics students, you have presentations or papers due this week. In addition, we will be starting a quick unit on the Judicial Branch.
**For Psychology students, we will finish up our notes on psychological disorders. We'll also hold our Psychology Fair this week! Hopefully students are excited to share their researched information with others from the building.
